Sun PhuQuoc Airways Takes Flight: First Impressions of a New Journey
Stepping onto the inaugural commercial flight of Sun PhuQuoc Airways felt like embarking on a truly fresh beginning. The subtle scent of new seats, a hint of leather, and that unmistakable new plane aroma all combined to create the perfect sensation for a maiden voyage.
A Promising Launch Day
On the morning of November 1st, the airline officially commenced operations, launching three routes connecting Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City to the beautiful Ngọc Island, Phu Quoc.
Distinctive Style and Welcoming Crew
The flight attendants' uniforms for Sun PhuQuoc Airways immediately catch the eye. They offer a unique aesthetic, distinct from Bamboo Airways, yet subtly echoing the luxurious and refined style reminiscent of Emirates, infused with a signature "Sun" flair.
Despite the full flight, much of the attention seemed to be captivated by the crew. Attending to my seating section was flight attendant Ky Duyen. Her beauty and poise, from her elegant walk to her radiant smile, were striking, evoking thoughts of the famous personality of the same name. Her graceful greeting, hands clasped gently at her chest, exuded a warmth that truly brought the flight to life.
Onboard Comforts
While Wi-Fi was available, the 40-minute flight didn't quite allow for a full experience. The complimentary in-flight treat was a delightful handmade French pastry, accompanied by bottled water bearing the Sun brand. It's worth noting that this special pastry was a feature of the inaugural flight, with future offerings yet to be confirmed.
Phu Quoc basked in the brilliant sun today. With an initial fleet of just three aircraft, the ambitious plan to expand to eight and then thirty planes within the next year feels entirely achievable, especially given Sun Group's proven track record. Their commitment to growth and innovation is clear.
