Important Notice: Power Bank Regulations for Travel to China

Heads Up for Travelers Heading to China!

Pay close attention to these updated rules regarding power banks if you're planning a trip to China.

Starting June 28th, Chinese airports are enforcing new regulations for portable chargers carried onto airplanes (must be in carry-on baggage).

  • Power banks must have a clearly identifiable brand and specifications.
  • The capacity cannot exceed 20,000mAh or 100Wh-160Wh.
  • Critically, the power bank must have 3C certification, as shown in the illustrative image.

You can bring power banks from Vietnam to China since Vietnam doesn't yet require 3C certification. However, please note that you may not be able to carry them on the plane when flying from China.
