Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC): Guide to declare before 3 days entering Malaysia
GUIDE TO DECLARE MALAYSIA DIGITAL ARRIVAL CARD (MDAC)
📋 Information to prepare in advance:
Passport still valid (need passport number, date of birth, expiry date)
Airplane/train ticket information (flight number, arrival date, departure date)
Address of stay in Malaysia (hotel or relative's house)
Email and contact phone number
⏰ Important notes:
Must declare within 3 days (including the submission day) before the entry date to Malaysia
100% free when declaring MDAC, note that!

DETAILED DECLARATION STEPS
STEP 1: Access the MDAC page
Go to link: https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main
Click the orange REGISTER button in the middle of the page
STEP 2: Fill in personal information (Personal Information)
Required fields (with red * mark):
Name (Full name): Enter full name as in passport
Passport No. (Passport number): E.g.: N1234567
Nationality / Citizenship (Nationality): Select from dropdown (find "VNM - VIETNAM" if you are Vietnamese)
Date of Birth (Date of birth): Format DD/MM/YYYY (click to select)
Sex (Gender): Select MALE or FEMALE
Date of Passport Expiry (Passport expiry date): Format DD/MM/YYYY
Email Address (Email): Enter your email
Confirm Email Address (Confirm email): Re-enter email to match
Country / Region Code (Phone area code): Select "( 84 ) VIETNAM"
Mobile No. (Phone number): Enter phone number without leading 0. E.g.: 901234567
STEP 3: Fill in travel information (Traveling Information)
⚠️ Note: The trip must be within 3 days from the declaration date
Required fields:
Date of Arrival (Arrival date): Select the date you enter Malaysia
Mode of Travel (Mode of transport): Select AIR (airplane), LAND (land), or SEA (sea)
Date of Departure (Departure date): Select the expected departure date from Malaysia
Last Port of Embarkation before Malaysia (Last embarkation point before Malaysia): Select the last country/territory before flying to Malaysia. E.g.: "VNM - VIETNAM" if flying from Vietnam
Flight / Vessel / Transportation No. (Flight/vessel/transport number): E.g.: VJ812, VN650
STEP 4: Fill in stay address information in Malaysia
Accommodation of Stay (Type of accommodation): Select 1 of 3
HOTEL/MOTEL/REST HOUSE (hotel)
RESIDENCE OF FRIENDS/RELATIVES (friends/relatives' house)
OTHERS (others)
Address (In Malaysia) (Address in Malaysia):
Enter hotel or stay address
Enter only letters and numbers (alphanumeric only)
E.g.: 123 Jalan Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur
State (State): Select state/region. E.g.:
WP KUALA LUMPUR (if in Kuala Lumpur)
PULAU PINANG (if in Penang)
JOHOR, SABAH, SARAWAK...
City (City): Select city corresponding to the selected state
Postcode (Postcode): Enter postcode of the address in Malaysia
STEP 5: Verify reCAPTCHA
Tick the box "I am not a robot"
Follow verification requirements if any
STEP 6: Submit form
Check all information again
Click the green SUBMIT button
Save or screenshot the confirmation page
Check email to receive confirmation (if any)
📱 AFTER COMPLETING DECLARATION:
Can check registration again via CHECK REGISTRATION menu on the menu bar
Print or save confirmation on phone to present upon entry
Ensure information matches passport and flight ticket
⚠️ OTHER NOTES:
Regarding cash upon entry:
If carrying cash or negotiable instruments over 10,000 USD (or equivalent) must declare to customs
Not allowed to carry Malaysian Ringgit exceeding equivalent of 10,000 USD without permission from Bank Negara Malaysia
