Hilton Kuala Lumpur Review: 5-Star Stay in KL Sentral

Hilton Kuala Lumpur Review: 5-Star Stay in KL Sentral

Hilton Kuala Lumpur (3-4/1/2026)

I actually haven't been here for quite a while; the last time was in February 2022. This hotel, located at KL Sentral, opened in September 2004. Its building is adjacent to the Le Meridien Hotel. Through the Trip.com app, I booked a Deluxe room for RM432.02. This price does not include breakfast but includes taxes.

I arrived at the hotel at 2:10 PM and checked in immediately. The hotel lobby is beautiful and spacious. Besides the counter, there is a cafe and a restaurant in the lobby. Even though there were many guests when I arrived, the check-in process was quite fast. I was given a Deluxe Plus room (free upgrade), which is larger than the standard Deluxe room. Since the room was ready, I was immediately given the room access card. There are six elevators in the hotel, and the wait time for elevators is very quick.

This Deluxe Plus room is located at the end and has an area of 516 square feet. Upon entering the room, there is a space with a small cabinet. Inside it is a mini fridge, and on top is a coffee maker along with four bottles of drinking water. Then, entering the main room, there is a large wardrobe covered with sliding doors. Inside the wardrobe, there is a safe and two pairs of bathrobes.

In front of the wardrobe is a work desk with a chair. The desk is quite large, and on it is a reading lamp. To the left of the desk is a closed space containing an iron and ironing board. In the bed area, besides a king bed, there is a large sofa to the right of the bed, next to the window. At the end of the sofa is a small round table. To the right of the foot of the bed is a TV mounted on the wall, which is large, possibly 60 inches.

The bathroom area is quite large, directly opposite the foot of the bed. It can be closed with a large sliding door; when open, it makes the Deluxe Plus room look very spacious. The bathroom has the sink on the right side. In the middle is a moderately large bathtub. On the left is the toilet area and shower area. The toilet area is fully covered by frosted glass, while the shower area is only partially covered with translucent glass. The hotel does not provide a handheld showerhead, and the shower area has two types of showers. As a 5-star hotel, it provides complete bathroom amenities.

One of the highlights of this hotel is its very large swimming pool, shared with the Le Meridien Hotel. The swimming pool is on Level 8. Not only is it large, it is also open from 6 AM until 11 PM. Besides the swimming pool, on Level 8 there is also a gymnasium that operates 24 hours. Additionally, on the same level, there is a spa, sauna, and jacuzzi that operate from 6 AM to 10 PM.

In the room, the free WiFi provided has a speed of around 11mbps only. For mobile networks, CelcomDigi reaches 314mbps while Tune Talk reaches 308mbps. The hotel provides a lot of free TV channels in HD format. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong, but for me, the shower area is a bit cramped.

For breakfast, it is at the restaurant located in the hotel lobby. Breakfast time is from 6 AM to 10:30 AM. Although quite expensive at RM88 per person, the hotel offers a very diverse breakfast menu, but I didn't like the somewhat cramped area. As usual, I only tried a few menu items, and they were delicious to me. The hotel also offers 24-hour in-room dining service, but the menu is quite expensive. For example, fried rice is RM62. For those bringing vehicles, there is parking at the hotel, but it is not free. Guests will be charged RM8 per day.

As a hotel under the Hilton chain, it certainly meets the criteria as a 5-star hotel. Its location is also very strategic, located right next to KL Sentral, which operates as a public transportation hub.

As usual, I attach the photos I took during my stay here. If readers want to read my reviews for other hotels, please go to my section in this group. If you want to know about my staycation developments, please follow me on Facebook. Thank you for reading 😎
