Guide to registering in 5 minutes and then casually exit through Auto Gate for Vietnamese passports. No need to worry if the airport is crowded or empty anymore.
1/ First, everyone go to the immigration counter, see the Auto Gate registration counter there? Go straight in that direction. It's in the same area as transfer passengers and on-site visa collection. Walk about 50m, you'll see 2 big tall white machines labeled manual registration. Head right there. Select Vietnamese >> then follow the instructions (place passport face down correctly and hold it), then save fingerprints (remember to place 4 fingers as per the template and lift them out and in as instructed, otherwise it won't work). After completion, the machine will display >> invite to check in at Auto Gate, then move right away to the first counter right near that machine. There's a big Auto Gate sign.
2/ Hand your passport to the Customs brother sitting there and say you've registered manually at the machine already. He'll enter the info and ask you to scan 2 index fingerprints. Done. He'll return the passport to you. Once finished, just head straight to the automatic Exit machines. Place passport, place boarding pass code. You're out. No need to queue for customs anymore. The whole process takes 5 minutes only. Very fast and convenient. There are lots of customs officers. They assist very quickly. Just boldly ask. Passports without chips can also do it normally, everyone 🙏🙏. Wishing everyone a happy Tet holiday back home.
This counter currently has 4-6 counters so go ahead comfortably.
Oh note from admin: some paper tickets are printed too thin like Spring Airline's for example, hard to scan, ask the customs brothers to scan a sample ticket to assist. Or when receiving a nice ticket, take a photo on your phone to temporarily force it onto the scanner also ok.
