Guide to declaring the China E Arrival Card correctly to get the China Transit 24h visa (24 hour Visa Free Transit)
China has implemented the 24-hour visa-free transit policy for foreign citizens from all countries in the world at all immigration ports (24-hour visa-free transit - Visa-Free Transit Policies for Foreign Nationals) therefore if you have a connecting flight to a third country with a clear booking code and seat that has been checked in online for example then you can easily get the 24H Free Visa to freely visit. Most major cities in China have this policy, you can refer to the detailed list at https://en.nia.gov.cn/n147418/n147463/c156086/content.html
This time I chose Shanghai as the transit point, so when flying from Jeju (Korea) I was already guided by the Spring Airline counter staff (Korea side) to scan the code to register the Arrival Card in advance on the Chinese side, those who fly transit through China like me remember to declare in advance so when you land there you save time okay!
Step 1: Go to the link https://s.nia.gov.cn/ArrivalCardFillingPC/ on phone or computer both okay
Step 2: Select Entry Declaration (Entry declaration form)
Step 3: Upload or take a photo of your Passport, you should have a clear photo of the passport in your device to make this step less error-prone
Step 4: Almost 80% of the information has been filled from the Passport into the form so you don't worry, just check your Name, date of birth and Passport number to see if accurate then done
Step 5: For the Arrival Flight/Train/Vessel Number field fill in the correct flight number that will arrive, the system will automatically search and fill it for you, for example if I fill KZ225 then the system will find Shanghai and Pudong for you right away
Step 6: Continue you will need to select correctly as follows, your Email, Country/Region of Birth is Vietnam, Do you hold a valid visa or other entry permit (Do you have any other valid visa or entry permit) you select No okay (don't have) - if you have a CHINA VISA applied for before then select YES and enter the CHINA VISA number below. Here I don't have CHINA VISA yet so select NO and for Entry Policy Selection (Entry method) I select 24-hour Temporary Entry for Transit (24h temporary entry for Transit) and select NO for Passport ever lost/stolen (Have you ever lost your Passport) then done
Step 7: You complete selecting all the information of your upcoming return flight, including flight number and information, note the fields marked in red are required okay, and select NO (No) in Do you have any inviting entities or inviters in China (Do you have any invitations from anyone)
After the above steps it's done, you will receive a QR code for entry and remember to show it to the customs staff to check the information at the Free Visa Transit counter to get the 24H Sticker Visa okay!
Note that flights in China usually open for ticket booking 3-4 hours before departure time only, so always arrange your itinerary to make your trip more enjoyable okay!
