Four Points KLCC: A Deluxe Staycation with Stunning City Views

My Second Stay at Four Points by Sheraton KL City Centre

This hotel on Jalan Ampang, formerly the New World Hotel, is part of the Marriott chain. It's right next to the Renaissance Hotel and shares a pool with it. On Trip.com, a Deluxe Guest room costs RM525 including breakfast for two people and taxes. This was my second stay here.

Smooth Check-In and Spacious Lobby

I arrived around 1:20 PM and headed straight to the front desk. The lobby is on the ground floor—beautiful and quite spacious. There's also a restaurant there where guests have breakfast. Check-in took just a few minutes, and I got a free upgrade to a room facing KLCC. My room was on the 23rd floor; the hotel has six elevators.

Room Highlights: Big, Comfortable, and Well-Equipped

The Deluxe room spans 322 square feet, making it pretty large. Right inside the door, there's a wardrobe on the right—small but functional. It holds hangers for clothes, a safe, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom is on the left. Beyond it, a cabinet houses a mini fridge and tea/coffee makers.

In the bed area, there's a king bed, a single sofa to the left, and a small round table next to it. (On my first stay, the room had a longer sofa.) At the foot of the bed on the left corner, a small work desk with a chair and reading lamp. A large Smart TV—maybe 60 inches—hangs on the opposite wall.

Bathroom Details

The bathroom is spacious with a sliding door that locks from inside. It includes a sink, toilet, and shower area. A bidet hose sits by the toilet bowl, and the shower is fully enclosed by frosted glass. Plenty of room for a rain shower and handheld option. Amenities are complete: toothbrush, hand towel, face towel, and more.

Family-Friendly Pool and Facilities

One standout feature is the large pool on the 4th floor, shared with Renaissance Hotel. Open from 7 AM to 7 PM, it's perfect for kids—huge, beautiful, with lots of play areas. Same floor has a 24-hour gym, sauna, and spa.

Breakfast and Dining

Breakfast is in the lobby restaurant with plenty of options, though not super organized. I tried a few items as usual. I also had lunch there—chicken rice for RM45—and it was delicious.

Tech and Practical Perks

Free in-room WiFi hits 39 Mbps. Mobile data: CelcomDigi at 161 Mbps, Tune Talk at 67 Mbps. Smart TV offers tons of free HD channels, including Vision Four. Strong water pressure in the shower—one of my favorites. Parking available for RM10, fully cashless.

Why It's a Favorite

Personally, this is one of my top hotels. It's beautiful, clean, and the rooms have stylish lighting with balanced illumination everywhere. Great for families thanks to the big pool. Location is central: 900 meters to KLCC, 2.2 km to Pavilion and Bukit Bintang. Next to Kampung Baru for dining. Public transport: Bukit Nenas Monorail across the street, Dang Wangi LRT 650 meters away.

I've attached photos from this stay. Check my other hotel reviews in this group, or follow me on Facebook for more staycation details. Thanks for reading!
