A Journey of Construction and Preservation Through Tumultuous Times
The Binh An Parish was officially established on May 1, 1955, dedicating itself to Our Lady of the Rosary as its Patroness. In the early days, resources were scarce; the first place of worship was just two temporary warehouses donated by parishioners.
Through continuous effort, the parish's first church was completed in 1958. However, by 1970, the old structure began to deteriorate. With the united contributions of the entire parish, a new, sturdier, and more spacious church was inaugurated on April 27, 1972. To this day, this 42m long and 21m wide structure remains the spiritual heart of the parish.
The journey of building and conservation never ceased. During the 25th (1997) and 50th (2005) anniversaries, the church underwent comprehensive renovation and upgrading to ensure it remained a worthy place of worship and community life for the growing congregation.
More Than a Church: A Community Hub
Beyond the Sanctuary, Binh An Parish also boasts an 800m² Parish Hall (completed in 2004), serving as a vibrant center for general activities not just for the parish but for the entire deanery.
Notably, since 2002, the compound has also housed the Binh An Eucharistic Adoration Community—an impressive complex for nuns featuring a chapel, activity areas, and even a kindergarten, creating a lively space filled with devotion and care.
