A Review of M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur (May 2025 Stay)
This review covers my second stay at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur, which took place on May 27th and 28th, 2025. The hotel is situated in Bukit Kiara, right next to the Public Service Golf Club (KGPA). It is a relatively new establishment, having opened its doors on August 31st, 2022. My previous visit was in November 2022.
I booked a 'Standard Block View King Room' via the Trip.com application for RM364.69. This price conveniently included breakfast for two, taxes, and service charges.
Arrival and Check-In Experience
I arrived around 1:30 PM and proceeded directly to the lobby for check-in. The hotel lobby is notably spacious and beautifully designed. The check-in process was very quick, taking only a few minutes, and the hotel did not require any deposit. Since my room was ready, I was immediately issued my access card. This time, my room was located on the 3rd floor. The hotel is equipped with four elevators.
The Standard Room Details
The room I stayed in offers a comfortable area of 308 square feet. Upon entering, the lights automatically turned on, thanks to the room's sensor system. To the left of the entrance is the bathroom, followed by a wardrobe that was quite unique: it was entirely made of clear glass mirrors. Inside the wardrobe, you'll find hangers, a safe deposit box, and two bathrobes. Ironing facilities (iron and ironing board) were also provided in the closet. Interestingly, during my first visit, the hotel did not provide an iron in the room.
In the sleeping area, alongside the king-sized bed, there was a single armchair and a small round table next to the bed on the left. Opposite the foot of the bed is a cabinet housing the mini-fridge and beverage preparation amenities. To the right of this cabinet is a shelf for guest belongings, and to its left is a compact workspace with a chair suitable for some office tasks. A reading lamp is positioned above this desk.
Bathroom Features
The bathroom itself is quite roomy, accommodating the sink, toilet, and shower area. The shower enclosure utilized clear glass panels, but thankfully, there is a blind that can be raised or lowered from inside. The shower area features two types of showerheads and is spacious. The toilet is equipped with an integrated bidet spray (handheld bidet) but lacks a traditional bidet ring seat. Comprehensive toiletries were provided, including toothbrushes, hand towels, and face towels.
Amenities: The Pool and More
A major highlight of this hotel is its exceptionally large swimming pool. It is divided into several sections and features multiple slides, making it highly suitable for families with children. A cafe is located right by the poolside. The pool operating hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Besides the pool, the hotel also offers a sauna, steam room, gymnasium, and a children's play room.
Dining Experience
Breakfast is served at the restaurant located on the ground floor. The spread offered was very diverse, and I personally found the food delicious. The arrangement of the dishes was aesthetically pleasing, and the large dining area made it easy for guests to select food, even during peak hours. The restaurant also offers an à la carte menu. In-room dining service is available 24 hours a day.
I had lunch at the restaurant and tried the Nasi Goreng (fried rice), which cost RM58 (hotel guests receive a 15% discount). I found the fried rice to be extremely tasty. For dinner, I ordered a pizza priced at RM47.
Connectivity and Final Thoughts
The hotel provides fast, free Wi-Fi, reaching speeds of up to 75mbps. For mobile connectivity, CelcomDigi clocked in at 699mbps, and Tune Talk achieved 691mbps. The hotel offers a good selection of free TV channels, including Vision 4, all broadcast in HD. In addition to regular channels, several free movies are also available.
The water pressure in the bathroom was not particularly strong, but I was still satisfied with the shower experience. I requested a late check-out until 2:00 PM, which was accommodated.
Suitability and Location
This hotel is genuinely very suitable for families due to its large pool area. The interior design is beautiful, particularly the lobby, which exudes a luxurious feel. The price point is reasonable, hovering around RM350. If you are looking for a hotel with excellent food, I highly recommend this one. The main drawback might be its slightly isolated location; there are virtually no shops or restaurants nearby. If you plan to dine out, you will need a car due to the distance.
The hotel provides ample open parking, which is complimentary for guests. The nearest MRT station is Phileo Damansara MRT Station, approximately 950 meters away.
One final piece of advice for potential visitors: if possible, try to avoid weekends or school holidays to prevent overcrowding, especially around the swimming pool area.
