Lẩu Sữa Ông Mã: A Unique Broth with a Story, But Does it Deliver?
Venture into the intriguing world of Lẩu Sữa Ông Mã, a spot that's been making waves with its distinctive broth. While it might look milky, don't expect a creamy dairy flavor. This unique concoction gets its opaque, milky appearance from the slow simmering of capon (castrated rooster) and pork stomach. It's definitely a departure from the usual one-dimensional broths you find elsewhere.
While the novelty of the broth is undeniable, a recent visit left us feeling the quality didn't quite match the price tag. We also couldn't shake off some unease from viral videos circulating on Douyin. These often show similar cloudy broths being suspiciously created with harmful chemical milk powders, which certainly dampened our enthusiasm.
The Verdict on Value
For our group of three, the bill came to 987,000 VND. While the experience was certainly memorable for its uniqueness, we felt there's room for improvement to fully justify the cost.
