Bali Bliss: A Captivating 5-Day Island Escape
Our recent journey to Bali was an absolute dream! This island is a treasure trove of ancient beauty, with its Hindu architecture adorning streets dotted with magnificent deity statues everywhere you turn. We were incredibly fortunate to coincide our trip with Vietnam Airlines launching its inaugural direct flight to Bali, which meant we snagged some fantastic, budget-friendly tickets. To ensure a smooth and successful adventure, we enlisted the support of the Kadek Puri group, and our experience was beyond our expectations.
A key tip for your Bali travels: bring your US dollars from Vietnam. Upon arrival, seek out currency exchange booths outside the airport. They offer a more favorable USD to IDR exchange rate. Once you're past immigration, our driver, Yasa, will be ready to whisk you away and assist in purchasing a local SIM card. There are two providers; we opted for the more economical choice, and it worked perfectly fine for our needs.
Even with our packed itinerary, there are still so many wonders we didn't get to explore. We're already planning our return trip to Bali!
Our 5-Day, 4-Night Bali Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kuta Charm
- June 1, 2025: Landed at Ngurah Rai Airport at 3:00 PM.
- The airport offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a handy perk.
- Immigration took about an hour before we were free to explore.
- Outside the airport, we exchanged our money and picked up our local SIM card.
- Enjoyed our first taste of local cuisine at Warung Chef Bagus for dinner.
- Checked into our hotel in the vibrant Kuta area.
Day 2: Nusa Penida Island Adventure
- June 2, 2025: Our day began with an early 6:00 AM pickup from the hotel.
- We caught the 8:00 AM fast boat from Sanur port.
- Arrived at Nusa Penida around 9:00 AM, met by our wonderful driver, Agus.
- Explored the breathtaking Kelingking Beach.
- Marveled at the unique rock formations of Angel's Billabong.
- Visited the stunning Broken Beach.
- Relaxed and swam at Crystal Beach.
- Headed back to the port at 4:30 PM.
- Arrived back at Sanur port in Bali at 5:30 PM.
- Indulged in a delicious sunset dinner at Jimbaran before heading back to our hotel.
Day 3: Sunrise Views and Ubud's Serenity
- June 3, 2025: Checked out of our Kuta hotel.
- Picked up by our guide from the hotel.
- Embarked on a thrilling jeep tour to witness the magical sunrise at Mount Batur.
- Experienced the exhilaration of the Bali Swing.
- Visited the sacred Tirta Empul water temple.
- Explored the iconic Tegallalang rice terraces.
- Checked into our hotel in the tranquil Ubud area.
Day 4: Adventure and Northern Bali Wonders
- June 4, 2025: A 9:00 AM pickup from our Ubud hotel.
- Enjoyed an adrenaline-pumping ATV adventure.
- Captured memorable photos at the iconic Handara Gate.
- Visited the serene Ulun Danu Beratan Temple.
- Discovered the beauty of Leke Leke Waterfall.
- Concluded the day with dinner before returning to our hotel in Nusa Dua.
Day 5: Beach Relaxation and Departure
- June 5, 2025: Checked out of our Nusa Dua hotel in the morning.
- Spent a relaxing time at Nusa Dua Beach, followed by lunch.
- Picked up some last-minute Bali souvenirs near the airport.
- Checked in for our 4:00 PM flight at Ngurah Rai Airport.
