Continuing the quest to reach 20 nights before December 31, I took advantage of the ongoing 25% off promotion for Hilton hotels this week.
Check-in and First Impressions
I arrived around 1 PM and was informed that my room wasn't quite ready yet. I was invited to wait in the Executive Lounge on the 21st floor.
Elevator Note: New elevators are actively being installed, so expect potential delays when using them.
Executive Lounge Experience
The Executive Lounge is open from 6 AM to 10 PM, serving breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM (Monday-Friday) and until 11 AM (Saturday/Sunday). Evening cocktails are available from 6-8 PM. Outside of these hours, a selection of pastries, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and chilled juices are offered.
The Room: King Premium Executive
The room felt modern and bright after the hotel's renovation last year. The King Premium Executive room includes a Nespresso machine with four coffee pods, which are replenished during turndown service.
Evening Cocktail
The evening cocktail selection featured several hot food options, including mee goreng mamak, tandoori chicken, spring rolls, kuih udang, chicken and leek pie, and desserts like pengat pisang and various local kuih. This stay's evening cocktail service was well-managed and organized, especially compared to my stay last year, which was much busier and less orderly.
Breakfast Delights at Paya Serai
As always, breakfast at Paya Serai offered a wide variety of food, including unique options like boiled sweet potatoes, nasi dagang with ikan tongkol, soto ayam, and sayur lodeh. Don't miss the nasi lemak with accompaniments such as ayam goreng rempah, rendang ayam, and sambal sotong. For children, there's an ice cream station and a chocolate fountain.
Executive Lounge Breakfast
The Executive Lounge breakfast offers a more upscale selection, including smoked salmon.
Late Checkout
Due to high occupancy, the hotel was unable to grant a late checkout for this stay.
Final Thoughts on My Hilton stay
