Established in 1886 by Monk Thich Ngo Chi, a leader of the Anti-French movement, Long Son Pagoda stands as Nha Trang's largest Buddhist temple. Many locals believe that the pagoda serves as a guardian of southern Nha Trang.
Originally situated on a higher hill, the pagoda was damaged by a massive typhoon in the early 20th century. It was subsequently rebuilt in its current location in 1936.
