An unexpected Istanbul layover presented a wonderful opportunity to step out and explore this vibrant city. Landing at 10:30 PM and clearing customs well after eleven, my initial thoughts leaned towards staying put. This decision proved to be an excellent one, allowing for a morning of city exploration and a convenient return to the airport.
