A Delightful Stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences, Genting Highlands

Our Getaway: 3 Days, 2 Nights

We recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences in Genting Highlands. Our trip, from May 30th to June 1st, 2025, provided a perfect escape.

The Room: Deluxe Queen Comfort

We booked a Deluxe Queen Room (34m²) for RM496.60 (approximately RM248.30 per night), inclusive of breakfast for two and a RM6.00 Pahang state tax. We secured our booking through Trip.com.

Parking: Convenient and Spacious

Parking was a breeze:

  • Follow the signs to the hotel parking area at the back of the hotel.
  • Ample space makes maneuvering easy, preventing worries about scratches.
  • Tip: Park on Level 3 to avoid using the elevator to reach the hotel lobby.
  • Parking is free, but you'll need to validate your Touch n Go card at the lobby each time you exit.

Check-in: Smooth and Welcoming

The check-in experience was efficient:

  • The hotel comprises two main blocks: the hotel block and the residences block.
  • After parking, take the elevator to Level 3 and walk through a corridor to the hotel block.
  • The lobby isn't huge, but it's beautifully decorated.
  • Check-in was quick and straightforward.
  • We received two access cards.
  • A reading corner and benches are available in the lobby.

The Room: Spacious and Well-Equipped

Our room exceeded expectations:

  • The room felt very spacious considering the price.
  • It featured a comfortable queen-size bed.
  • While there was no balcony, the air conditioning was excellent, and the TV reception was clear.
  • The room included an electric kettle, coffee, an iron, an ironing board, and a safety box.

Bathroom: Clean and Functional

The bathroom was well-appointed:

  • The bathroom was spacious, with a shower (no bathtub).
  • Basic toiletries were provided.
  • Cleanliness was well maintained.
  • The flooring wasn't slippery.

Breakfast: A Delicious Start

Breakfast was a highlight:

  • The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes.
  • The dining area was large, and arriving early allows you to snag a window seat with a lovely garden view.

Pool: A Must-Try Experience

The pool, located on Level 41 of the residences block, is a gem:

  • Exit the lobby and walk through a corridor to the residences block elevators. Take the elevator to Level 40, then stairs to Level 41. A guard ensures appropriate swimwear.
  • Don't miss the heated pool – the warm water is incredibly relaxing.
  • A unique triangular structure (Ceremonial Alcove) by the pool serves as a venue for small events.
  • The landscaping is beautiful and picture-perfect.

Check-out: Effortless

Check-out was incredibly easy. Simply hand over your access cards to the receptionist and provide your car number for parking fee exemption.

Overall: Highly Recommended

Our experience was superb:

  • The location is ideal for a comfortable short staycation that isn't too cold, situated at the foothills of Genting Highlands.
  • It's conveniently located just over an hour from Kuala Lumpur city center.
  • Close to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets (GHPO) and the Sky Awana Genting cable car station (about 10-15 minutes away).
  • Various eateries and convenience stores are located near the hotel.
  • We definitely plan on returning for another staycation!
