Let's Go to Yamaguchi!

Just got back from a trip around Yamaguchi Prefecture and I'm still buzzing! Had to share my experiences while they're fresh!

Must-See Spots in Yamaguchi

Tsunoshima Bridge

This bridge is simply breathtaking! Spanning across turquoise waters, driving across feels like flying over the ocean. You don't even need a drone C just climb the small slope nearby for a picture-perfect shot!

Motonosumi Inari Shrine

About a 30-minute drive from the bridge. This shrine is famous for its 123 vibrant red torii gates lined up facing the sea. The view is both majestic and peaceful, a sacred yet picturesque experience.

Saba River Koi Nagashi

I was lucky enough to visit during the Children's Day festival (May 3-5), so I witnessed the carp streamers "swimming" in the river. It was so charming! The entire river was decorated with colorful streamers, kids running around excitedly, and adults snapping photos.

Shuho Inarinomiya Shrine

This place is slightly spooky due to the old torii gates covered in green moss C but it's beautiful in a fairytale-like way. As soon as you enter, you'll feel a sense of quiet, coolness, and mystery.

Kintaikyo Bridge

A charming wooden bridge that's surprisingly steep! But the view from the top is like a postcard from Japan. I heard visiting during cherry blossom season is truly magical.

Karato Market

Seafood heaven! Fresh fish and sushi are everywhere C pick what you like. Especially on weekends, the market transforms into a seafood street food paradise. It felt like being in a Japanese movie!
