My Free Japan Visa Adventure 🇯🇵
Student Visa Tips for Japan!
I'm thrilled to share my experience obtaining a Japan visa as a student – single, with no personal income, and traveling solo! Here's how I made it happen.
My Situation:
- Student, single, no income, independent travel
- Travel history: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, China (group tour, no stamp)
Documents I Prepared
Personal Documents:
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
- National ID Card
- Two 4.5x3.5 cm photos with a white background
- Student Confirmation Letter
Financial and Employment Proof (Family):
- Father's salary increase and promotion decision
- Parents' professional licenses
- Business registration certificate
- Six-month bank statement (mother's account, no salary deposits)
- Car registration, land title, etc.
Itinerary (Key to Success!)
This is super important! Invest time in crafting a logical travel itinerary. Include lesser-known spots (hidden gems) to show the Consulate that you've researched and are genuinely interested in exploring Japan.
Cover Letter
Clearly state your passion for travel, your current student status, that your parents are providing financial support, and your reasons for returning to Vietnam on time.
Important Notes
All documents were photocopied on one side of A4 paper. No translation or notarization needed! This saved me a lot of money.
Visa Fee Exemption
Because I was a student, my visa fee was waived! Remember to remind the visa service to check the "student" box to get the free visa.
I applied through Vietravel and only paid a 300k VND service fee.
Wishing you all the best in getting your visa! 🥰
