First Impressions: The New Pokémon GO Plus +! ✨
Alright Trainers, I'm giving you a quick and dirty review of the brand-spankin' new Go Plus +, which dropped on July 14th, 2023! 😜
What's New & Exciting?
- Similar auto-spinning and Pokémon catching functions to the original Go Plus and Gotcha, but with some sweet upgrades!
- Extended Connection Time: Stays connected for roughly 60 minutes! Awesome for longer play sessions.
- Charging Time: Takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge. Haven't tested the battery life *yet* because it's still charging as I type this! :v
- Pikachu Hype! Chu's super enthusiastic when you start, and gives a sleepy "ZZZ" when it disconnects! =))))) (Don't worry, you can mute it!)
- Intense Vibrations & Lights! Brace yourselves – it's intense! Still haven't found a way to turn off the vibration :v
- Ball Variety! Manually catch with Great Balls and Ultra Balls (the old one only used Poke Balls). However, auto-catch is still limited to Poke Balls =.= (It auto-caught with all three for the first 4 days, but Niantic patched that...)
Sleep with Pokémon Sleep! 😴
- Integrated with Pokémon Sleep for some cool features!
- Snorlax in Pajamas! Connecting to Pokémon GO gives you a special quest for a Snorlax wearing a sleeping cap! Super easy to get the quest, but completing it is a NIGHTMARE without your own Plus + =.= (Quest screenshots below)
- Track Your Sleep: Before bed, press the main button -> watch for the flashing green light, and it'll start recording your sleep data. Do the same when you wake up, then connect to Pokémon GO to automatically add your sleep data. (Needs a minimum of 90 minutes of sleep...wonder if fake napping works=))))))
- Daily Rewards: Earn Stardust, stickers, and Buddy hearts at a set time you choose! Warning: it resets your previous 24-hour data!
- Quest Shenanigans: Helping friends complete quests also deletes your sleep data! Doing the quest for them and reconnecting to your main account also loses the sleep data. =.= You basically need your own Go Plus + to complete the quest. Thanks, Niantic! IQ infinity =)))))

P.S. Love the built-in strap loop! But if you can't turn off the vibration, it might be a bit much and uncomfortable =)))))))
