Check-In: Royal Treatment!
Arrived around 1 PM and was greeted warmly by the reception staff with a cheerful "Thank you for your loyalty as a Marriott member and welcome back!". Got my key, a welcome letter detailing the Club Lounge perks, and a promise of extra coffee, tea, and amenities delivered to the room! Even though I hadn't made any specific requests this time, they remembered my past request from my first stay back in 2020! Incredible! My last stay was during RMCO 5 years ago when the room rates were super reasonable. Kudos for keeping track of special requests even after all this time! 👏

The Room: Pure Comfort!
Of course, the signature LM bed and Malin+Goetz toiletries were waiting! Always a treat! Four complimentary bottles of water were provided, plus a selection of Harney & Sons teas in various flavors. A notepad and pencil were conveniently placed next to the phone. Pens are available upon request.
Le Meridien Club Lounge (Level 33): The Place to Be!
Open from 6:30 AM to 10 PM. Get ready to indulge!
- All-Day Refreshments: Cookies, pastries (Saturday: cheese pinwheel/chicken puff! Sunday: ayam percik pizza pastry!), two cake options, and fresh fruit.
- Evening Cocktail: Get ready for a feast! Noodle station with herbal or spicy chicken soup, pasta, chicken rendang with baguette, risotto cake, beef stew, and amazing cold dishes like mashed potato with sweet potato, fermented beancurd, pasta salad, cake, apple pudding, and even handmade dark/white chocolates! The lounge was packed during evening cocktail hour, with some guests needing to use computer tables.
Breakfast Bonanza at Latest Recipe (Level 5)!
An absolutely HUGE selection! Japanese, local, Chinese, Western, Indian, and gluten-free options galore! Several fresh juice options, pastries, cold cuts like smoked salmon and smoked duck. And for a sweet treat, panna cotta in various flavors!
- Japanese: Grilled fish, tamagoyaki, tofu, and miso soup with Japanese rice.
- Local: Nasi lemak with chicken rendang, sayur lodeh with nasi impit, and roti jala with fish curry. Plus a corner dedicated to Malay kuih!
- Chinese: Noodle station (udon & soba), plant-based meatball, Maggie goreng, and congee.
- Live Station: Fresh French toast!
- Indian: Roti canai, roti boom, thosai, and chapati with various curries.
Check-Out: A Smooth Resolution!
During check-out, I noticed an error in the bill. An additional breakfast charge was missing. A senior staff member/manager swiftly addressed the issue and waived the extra breakfast charge! I only had to pay RM160 for the club lounge access upgrade. Huge thanks to the hotel for their excellent service!
