- 🚗 Hanoi to Ninh Binh: We took Tràng An Limousine - super comfy! 155k VND per ticket (booked via xetrangan.vn). We caught the 6 AM trip from Hanoi.
- 🛵 Exploring Ninh Binh: We rented a motorbike from Xuân Anh Homestay - 100k VND/day + you fill up the gas!
📌📌📌 Where to Eat, Play & Stay: The Must-Knows! ❓❓❓
(This is the part I'm most excited to share! It was so convenient and amazing! kiki)
Accommodation: Xuân Anh Homestay - A Gem! ⛩️
- Cost: 650k VND/room
- Location: In Ninh Binh city, only 2km from the ancient town, making evening outings super easy. Also conveniently located for other tourist spots.
- Highlights: CLEAN, FRIENDLY, and has a cute pool! They were expanding during our stay, so it was a bit noisy during the day.
☝️ Day 1: Climbing & Stunning Views! 🧗♂️
- ⛩️ 7:15 AM: Arrived at the homestay (before check-in time), rented a bike and left our luggage. 🛵🛵
- ⛩️ Grabbed breakfast along the way to Hang Múa.
💃 Outfit Goals: Costume Rentals at Chi Chi!
- Chi Chi is about 200m from the Hang Múa entrance.
- We rented *Mèo* costumes for photos at Hang Múa and *yếm* outfits for the lotus pond. Seriously amazing! If you want to rent costumes for Tràng An, rent them here because I didn't see any rental places there! (Contact Chi Chi - she delivers! 034 4111685)
- Everything you could ever want! 🥰
- Rental Prices: Vary from 100-300k VND depending on the outfit. She even throws in free accessories! Plus, FREE MAKEUP! And not just any makeup, but the good stuff! The owner did my makeup! 💯 points!
⛩️ Hang Múa: Conquer the Dragon! 🧗♂️
- About 9km from the city.
- Entrance Fee: 100k VND/person + 15k VND for parking.
- So beautiful! Luckily, the weather was cool, so the climb wasn't too bad (wear sneakers - it's pretty steep!). There are two paths at the top: the Dragon side overlooks Tam Cốc and is breathtaking. I didn't dare climb all the way to the Dragon - too scary! 🥲
🪷 Lotus Pond: Hidden Gem at the Base! 🪷
- Right at the foot of Hang Múa.
- The lotuses were blooming, but a bit sparse… probably not peak season. But, if you find the right angle, the photos are still gorgeous!
🍜 Lunchtime: Quick Bites on the Go!
- We were so busy taking photos that we missed lunch and ended up eating random food on the way to the sheep farm. 🥲
🛵 3:30 PM: Cừu Farm Fun!
- Head to Đầm Cút - Gia Hưng (about 20km from the city). Check the map for Vân Long Nature Reserve, then turn left on the dike and go straight for another 7.5km.
- Photo Fee: 100k VND/2 people
- The scenery on the way is SO CHILL! Worth the drive!
⛩️ 7:30 PM: Hoa Lư Ancient Town Vibes!
- Dinner: We ate in the ancient town for convenience at a hot pot/BBQ restaurant overlooking the river - so chill! 350k VND/2 people. Food was okay.
- Ancient Town: You can take a boat ride but no releasing lanterns (only during special events).
- Day 1 was exhausting! Time to rest!
🤘 Day 2: Tràng An Adventures! ⛩️⛩️⛩️⛩️
🚤 Tràng An: A UNESCO World Heritage Site!
- Ticket Price: 250k VND/person + 5k VND for parking.
- There are 3 routes to choose from, but most people do Route 3 and return on Route 2. This route takes you through a long cave (about 1km) and 2 shorter ones.
- It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason – stunning views everywhere! But 3 hours on the river in the sun was tiring! 🤣 (Umbrellas are provided on the boat).
- Thủy Đình Stop: Because it's so beautiful, the boat drivers will stop here for photo opportunities. There are also other stops along the route for sightseeing.
🍃🛵 Check-Out & Farewell!
- We checked out of Xuân Anh.
- Our bus wasn't until 2 hours later, but the homestay let us hang out and wait! 🥰 (We were heading to Hải Dương, so they even helped us find a bus!).
