Unlocking the Magic: Castle Combe, Arlington Row & a Whirlwind London Adventure!

Just back from a dreamy escape exploring the enchanting Castle Combe in the Cotswolds and the iconic Arlington Row in Bibury, and I had to share the highlights! A quick hour and a half drive from Windsor, and you're transported to the fairytale village of Castle Combe.

After a leisurely stroll and a relaxing coffee break at a local café, I continued my journey to Arlington Row in Bibury. Those picture-perfect 17th-century stone cottages, draped in moss, are seriously straight out of a storybook.

I've had a few inquiries about a tour of London. While I didn't take an organized tour, I'm happy to share my self-planned itinerary – hopefully, it's helpful for those planning their own adventure!

My Whirlwind London Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Sydney departure, Hong Kong layover, then on to London! Picked up a rental car at the airport and settled in for the night at Goswell House in Windsor.
  • Day 2: Explored the magnificent Windsor Castle, then ventured to the captivating Castle Combe and Arlington Row. Returned the car at the airport and hopped on a train to London. Check-in at the Westminster Hilton London.
  • Day 3: Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey – oh my! Plus, a tour of the Chelsea stadium. Shopping spree on Regent Street, Carnaby Street, and Liberty London. Overnight stay at the Ibis Greenwich.
  • Day 4: Immersed myself in the wizarding world at the Harry Potter - Warner Bros. Studio Tour!
  • Day 5: Explored the vibrant Notting Hill, wandered through Portobello Market, soaked up the Christmas spirit at a Christmas Market, and marveled at the festive Christmas lights.
  • Day 6: Off to Paris! Au revoir, London!

Stay tuned for more photos and travel tips! Happy travels!
