My Swiss Adventure: A Trip to Remember!
A huge shoutout to Phung Vatimy for the amazing advice and support! Thanks to her, our Switzerland trip was even more incredible than we imagined 🥰
Life got crazy busy, and we only finalized our *tentative* Switzerland itinerary with Phung just days before departure. After some fun in Barcelona, I called her right before our flight to Zurich like, "Hey! We're flying to Zurich! Let's nail down the itinerary! 😂😂😂" We even got Phung to book our Swiss Travel Pass online so we could hop on the train to Interlaken smoothly after landing. Let's just say, procrastination is our middle name! 😅
Our Swiss Itinerary
-
Day 1: Zurich-Interlaken 🚂
Phung suggested that since our flight landed in Zurich at 12:30 PM, we should head straight to Interlaken instead of staying overnight in Zurich. Smart move! We grabbed some snacks at the supermarket in the train station and hopped on the train to Interlaken. We arrived at Interlaken Ost station around 4:00 PM, took a bus to our Airbnb, and stocked up on groceries for dinner. A relaxing evening after a long travel day!

Day 2: Grindelwald - Jungfraujoch - Lauterbrunnen 🚡
Phung strongly recommended Jungfraujoch, but warned us that the weather is crucial. We checked the webcam and asked the staff about the conditions before deciding. That morning, we decided to visit Grindelwald first. If the weather cooperated, we'd continue to Jungfraujoch; otherwise, we'd explore Grindelwald First and Lauterbrunnen. Luckily, the weather was perfect, and with Phung's super helpful online support, we stuck to our plan! We left at 9:00 AM, took the train to Grindelwald, explored the village for about an hour, then continued by cable car and train to Jungfraujoch. Around 1:45 PM, we left Jungfraujoch for Lauterbrunnen, and were on the bus back to Interlaken by 4:45 PM.

Day 3: Iseltwald - Zurich
From Interlaken Ost, we took a bus to Iseltwald. This was probably the quietest of the three villages we visited. Iseltwald is also home to the bridge featured in *Crash Landing on You*, but we found even more picturesque spots deeper within the village. It's a small, charming place, so we caught the bus back to Interlaken Ost after about 1.5 hours to collect our luggage and head to Zurich. Around 4:00 PM, we checked into our hotel and headed up Lindenholf hill for the views and a walk around the city center. Even at dusk, we snapped some beautiful photos with just our phones! We felt incredibly lucky to have had amazing weather throughout our entire trip!
Thanks again to Phung for her incredibly helpful and thoughtful advice that made our Swiss adventure so unforgettable! ❤️
