Vietnam and China Expand Cross-Border QR Payment Services for Travelers

On April 3, Napas, in partnership with Ant International and Vietcombank, officially announced the expansion of cross-border QR payment services between Vietnam and China. This initiative is designed to streamline digital transactions and foster a more integrated payment ecosystem for international visitors.

Under this new agreement, Chinese tourists visiting Vietnam can now use the Alipay e-wallet (an Ant International service) to scan VietQRGlobal codes at Napas-affiliated merchant locations across the country. This extensive network provides seamless payment options at several key touchpoints, including:

  • Retail stores and shopping centers
  • Restaurants and local eateries
  • Hotels and luxury resorts
  • Popular tourist attractions and landmarks

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing the travel experience, allowing visitors to enjoy convenient, cashless transactions while exploring Vietnam's diverse destinations.
