I just got back. The peach blossoms in the temple are blooming beautifully but not yet in full bloom. On the streets and other places, they're just scattered, so if you're planning to go to Jeju this season, from late March to mid-early April, the flowers will be in full, glorious bloom, very beautiful. Hurry up.
As long as you have a round-trip ticket, hotel booking, a specific itinerary (planned destinations, places to visit...) and little cash, confidently set off. I flew HCM - Shanghai - Jeju, return afternoon Jeju - Sing - HCM.
At VN check-in counter, ground staff required showing round-trip ticket + hotel booking. Then they asked how much money I brought, I exchanged 1.5 million won, the staff just asked if cash or in card and that was it (no requirement to show money - but my husband flying 2 days later was required to show cash even though he had US visa pasted, so I'm not clear on the policy how you guys work it).
At Shanghai, queued to issue next flight ticket, staff required showing round-trip ticket + hotel booking again. Because my return ticket transits Sing, they asked carefully where flying to, just answer according to itinerary: flying Jeju back to Sing connecting to HCM.
When entering Jeju customs, they didn't ask anything, didn't make any trouble, just stamped the sticker and passed normally, after that was a series of days exploring the beautiful Jeju island and Udo.
Wish you all soon have a memorable Jeju trip!
