Latest update on submitting new dossiers for those applying for a tourist visa for January 2026 on their own. After online approval (about 10 days including weekends), I received a success email. The original dossier to submit includes:
Original passport
Original CCCD (they check and return it)
Original CT07 (they check and return it) - this one fill out the online form on VNEID, then pick up on the notified date at the ward police
Original bank account balance confirmation (they check and return it) - this one get from the bank for about 100k confirmation fee, since I have online account I requested it, but those with paper passbooks probably don't need it
4x6 photo (1 sheet)
Print out the success PDF file that the Consulate emailed me
Print page 1 and the last page of the online application dossier (I foolishly didn't print so had to pay 20k to print 2 sheets there)
Fee is 725k, receive a receipt paper to pick up results later pay $45. I was scheduled 12 days later.
They said they accept USD but the money I paid must be new not torn, with serial number after 2013. Allowed bank transfer for the VND part. Submitting dossier this time got a gift of a panda tote bag too. Parking nearby 10k. Go to the building ask elevator to submit visa, press floor 16, exit turn left to arrive. Working hours 9h-15h.
