First time applying for a Chinese visa myself
Hello everyone, I just received my visa so I'll review the process of doing the paperwork myself in Hanoi as follows. Extremely simple, just takes a little time to go to the center to submit and pick up.
Documents to prepare:
- Passport: photo of the information page and 2 blank pages
- White background passport photo: soft file
- Bank statement: download soft file from the bank, no need for bank stamp
- Itinerary: asked Chat GPT to make it according to the sample from previous reviews, added my own flight dates and times
- Air ticket (not paid yet)
- Hotel booking (not paid yet)
- Household registration book (not needed if you've been abroad before)
I submitted the application online on the evening of 9/2, then on 10/2 the center emailed to fix the documents, I did as requested then on 13/2 the center said the documents were ok, go submit.
After Tet, on 23/2 I went to submit, then on 26/2 I received the visa.
Documents to bring for submission include:
- Original passport
- Passport photo (4x6 or 33x48 both ok)
- First and last page of the filled form (download online)
- Application certificate file sent by the center
No need to print itinerary, tickets... because they don't check
Go to the center, get the number then pay, 5 minutes later go home
On the appointed day, I checked the application and it already had results before going to pick up. I paid 100 USD, the center gave back change so everyone doesn't need to exchange small bills beforehand. But the cashier at my place said they only accept bills with serial after 2013 and don't accept 50 USD bills.
Wishing everyone success in applying for visa.
