Oriental Pearl: Saigon's Highest Seafood Buffet Worth Every Penny

Oriental Pearl: Saigon's Highest Seafood Buffet Worth Every Penny

Floor 66 of Landmark 81 has a spot that I think many people don't know about yet — Oriental Pearl Restaurant. The highest seafood buffet restaurant in Vietnam, overlooking the entire city. And honestly, I didn't expect it to be this good.

📍 720A Điện Biên Phủ, Floor 66, Vinpearl Landmark 81 – Bình Thạnh, Ho Chi Minh City

Stepping in immediately gives a different feeling. Spacious space, soft lighting, tables and chairs not crowded. Tables close to the glass windows look straight out to the city — sitting here when Saigon lights up, no need to say more, everything naturally slows down.

The food is seafood buffet. Really not the "just for show" type. Lobster, snow crab legs, Japanese oysters, double-shelled clams — all unlimited. The sashimi counter has tuna, salmon, octopus, and even caviar. The grill counter has cheese lobster, spicy grilled oysters, grilled salmon... Not to mention the soup counter with Saigon pho — people call it "sky-poking pho" — eating at floor 66 while sipping hot pho with this view is something very unique.

The most mentioned point in reviews: foie gras. Pan-seared just right, lightly golden outside, creamy smooth inside. Eating too much can be a bit cloying, but it's a voluntary cloying.

Desserts are no less — delicate pastries, ice cream, chocolate, fruits. Many people especially praise this restaurant's pastry kitchen. One person who has eaten at all 5 restaurants in the Saigon Marriott system said this is the best among them, especially in desserts.

Staff are mentioned many times. Polite, quick, not hovering asking questions but always present when needed. They ask guests about food allergies right from the start. A few specific people even got thanked by name in reviews — brother Peter, sister Cloudy, friend Andy.

Dinner buffet from 18:00 – 22:00 daily.

Breakfast is also available, many tables close to glass for nice check-ins. Lunch tends to group guests in one corner, less freedom to choose tables.

A bit hard to park if driving yourself. Also some small hidden corners like the women's restroom not quite up to par according to some reviews — but these are few.

Looking back, this is the kind of place where you spend money and don't regret it. Not because of the view or reputation — but because after eating and leaving, you feel it's worth it. That's the hardest thing for a high-end buffet to achieve.

Anyone needing a spot for special occasions, anniversaries, meeting partners or just wanting a slightly different evening — try Oriental Pearl. Remember to book in advance, especially Saturday evenings.
