Step 1: Wash hands and light incense
First, when entering the temple, wash your hands in the designated area then light three incense sticks to express your sincerity.
Step 2: Pray
Stand in front of the main hall, pray your full name, place of residence, and what you want to ask for.
Step 3: Choose the oracle stick tube
Go to the shelf holding the oracle stick tubes, choose one tube that you want to draw from.
Step 4: Shake the sticks
Shake gently until one stick falls out. If two sticks fall, shake again from the beginning.
Step 6: Interpret the stick
Each stick will have a number corresponding to the box in the interpretation area. Draw the stick from the box. You can ask the temple master to interpret it or look it up yourself according to the available interpretations online. The content usually revolves around advice on work, health, relationships or directions to consider in the near future.
The temple is open from morning to evening so you can visit at any time of the day. However, the morning is usually quieter and suitable for performing the ritual. Wear polite attire, not too short to move comfortably in the premises.
