FIRST TIME TRAVELING TO CHINA – DON'T GO RANDOMLY
Let me be straightforward, if you choose the wrong route for your first trip to China, you're very likely to… not want to go a second time.
I've met too many people who say: "I've been to China, it was just okay." But when I ask in detail, I find out they chose the wrong route for the first time, like a first love with This one you remember forever, with That one you want to f*** off :D
❌ MOST COMMON MISTAKE:
First time rushing to go too far, booking just because it's cheap, too much nature, too specific, too crowded => Tired trip, Packed schedule, Haven't understood the culture yet… want to go home
According to my consulting experience and modest personal experience, China is not the type "go just to know" but this is a country you should visit in order.
✅ SO FOR THE FIRST TIME TO CHINA, WHERE SHOULD YOU GO?
THE ANSWER MIGHT BE ANNOYING, BUT BE PATIENT AND READ TO SEE IF IT'S RIGHT.
👉 Best is Beijing – Shanghai Not because this route is "boring",
but because:
- Beijing lets you understand ancient China: Forbidden City – Great Wall – history ...
- Shanghai lets you see modern China: International city – development – very different from imagination...
Beijing - Shanghai programs usually should go Noshop to avoid going a lot but forced shopping which will make you more tired.
=> After this route, you'll know which type of China suits you, or you'll want to explore more about this billion-population country
⚠️ ROUTES NOT TO GO RIGHT AWAY FIRST TIME (BUT VERY BEAUTIFUL):
👉 Jiuzhaigou
✔ Extremely beautiful, majestic
❌ But first time very easy to get tired
👉 Yunnan (Lijiang – Dali)
✔ Very poetic, romantic
❌ But if not familiar with China yet, many people will… find it boring, nothing but scenery
👉 Ancient towns (Phoenix Ancient Town, Yinxi...)
✔ Very deep, very Chinese
❌ But first time easy to see "an industrialized tourism" easy to lose goodwill
SO China is not not worth going – just you start in the wrong place. So choose the suitable route for the First time!!!
(This article from personal viewpoint, hope to help someone go to China right from the first time to book my tours more :).)
