Cơm Tân Nhã Chinatown: Must-Try Roast Pork & More

Light Review of Cơm Tân Nhã - Chinese Restaurant Worth Trying in Ho Chi Minh's Chinatown

  • The most famous dish here is roast suckling pig, which must be pre-ordered and is not available on the menu. The roast pig has crispy skin, tender and moist meat inside, rich flavor, with layers of fatty marbling. The dipping sauce for the roast pig is sweet and sour plum sauce, tangy and sweet. This flavor combination helps reduce greasiness, quite interesting.

  • Additionally, we ordered crab salad (served with sweet and sour tamarind sauce), steamed grouper with soy sauce, and mapo tofu (tofu with minced meat sauce). The common point is they are decent, well-seasoned, firm and sweet meat but not particularly outstanding. And the dishes here are presented very... boring =))) so if you are someone who "eats with their eyes," you might find the food a bit less appealing.

  • The restaurant space is very small and most customers are groups of friends or families, so you must book a table in advance.

  • The menu is only for reference; special dishes are mostly not on the menu and require asking the server for recommendations. Prices can also change according to ingredient costs.

  • Motorcycle parking is 10k per bike.
