China Waives Visas for UK and Canadian Citizens Starting February 17
China will allow British and Canadian citizens to enter without a visa (visa) from February 17.
The SCMP newspaper cited information from the Chinese Foreign Ministry stating that the new regulation will officially take effect from February 17 and last until the end of this year.
Accordingly, British and Canadian citizens holding ordinary passports are allowed to stay in China for a maximum of 30 days without needing to apply for a visa (visa) for purposes such as business trips, tourism, visiting relatives, or participating in exchange activities.
Previously, Beijing had applied a visa exemption policy for Australian and New Zealand citizens from July 2024.
