Shenzhen China Visa is simple to obtain, only 130 RMB (~500k) from Hong Kong (Lo Wu)
If you're in Hong Kong and want to "pop over" to Shenzhen for 1–2 days, you can apply for a 5-Day Shenzhen Visa on Arrival (VOA) right at the Lo Wu border crossing, without needing to apply for a Chinese visa from Vietnam.
Currently, only the Lo Wu (Lao Wu) border crossing on the Hong Kong side offers the 5-day Shenzhen VOA, so if you plan to use this type of visa, remember to take the MTR East Rail Line to the Lo Wu station, don't go to the wrong entrance.
The VOA fee at Lo Wu is 130 RMB, payable by international card or e-wallet, no cash needed.
The visa allows a maximum stay of 5 days and only within Shenzhen, not to other Chinese cities.
A very important note: if you return to Hong Kong after visiting Shenzhen, you should have a multiple entry Hong Kong visa to avoid issues when re-entering, unless your itinerary is to fly directly back to Vietnam from Shenzhen without returning to Hong Kong.
This method is quite convenient for those who have already obtained a Hong Kong visa and can refer to it to visit Shenzhen for a few days before returning to Vietnam or to get more convenient flights! This method is also effective for those who often go to exhibitions in Shenzhen combined with visiting Hong Kong!
