Review of a decent ancient costume photo studio in Wuzhen
From the main gate, turn right onto Cyan Road about 100m and you'll see this shop. I stayed in Wuzhen for 1 night, so after arriving at noon, I didn't shoot right away. In the evening, I went to the shop to choose clothes and pay a deposit first, then the next morning just do makeup and shoot (I arrived at the shop at 9am, finished makeup a bit after 10am and started shooting).
Makeup is very light and quick. For hair, whatever style or tone you like, just tell them. They apply fake eyelashes and full liner.
Around there, a bit farther, there are many other shops but I didn't ask prices. Probably farther ones are cheaper, but I thought this shop was okay already. After shooting, they gave me a memory card, and took me to a nearby studio to select 7 photos and retouch. The retoucher will persuade you to take all retouched photos, bargain down to around 80-100 RMB and you'll have all the retouched photos. Initially it was 1200 RMB > 299 RMB > 199 RMB, I said still not enough money so finalized at 100. For this rental shop, 258 RMB for clothes, makeup, and shooting about 35-40 shots and retouching 7 photos to take home. Shooting is super fast and beautiful.
