Meta just released something brand new for people doing online business: Business AI – basically an "AI sales assistant" plugged directly into the Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp ecosystem and your website too.

What is Business AI?

It's an AI agent (like an upgraded chatbot) that businesses can customize according to their brand voice: friendly, professional, or their own unique style.

This AI can be "loaded" with knowledge from product catalogs, websites, documents… to provide consultation and answer questions aligned with your business.

It's being rolled out gradually to eligible businesses in certain markets and will expand further later.

Where does it appear?

On Messenger and WhatsApp: 24/7 customer support, you can actively set when your real team responds and when AI handles it.

In Facebook & Instagram ads: users click the ad and can chat immediately, AI suggests suitable products and responds instantly.

On your website: personalize the shopping experience for each buyer, increase interaction and sales (like having an online salesman always present on your site).

Benefits for marketers and shop owners

Easy to use, easy to update: Meta positions it as a "plug and play" tool for businesses, you don't need to be a coder to set it up.

You still maintain control: adjust response tone, add knowledge, provide feedback so the AI improves gradually the way you want.

Built on a fairly large platform and ecosystem, and integrates with companies like Salesforce, Zendesk, Gorgias, Klaviyo… so it leans clearly toward an "omni-channel" approach.

Not every page has it yet, Meta clearly states it's "for eligible businesses in certain markets and will launch soon in other markets."

If you see an AI or Business AI section in your Business Manager / Business Suite, you can start experimenting with it; if you don't have it yet, actively follow and sign up to receive update emails from Meta for Business to wait for the rollout.

If you do ads, sell online, manage customers and can take advantage of this "free AI" period from Meta, the potential to optimize labor costs and increase order closing rates is quite appealing, especially for those Inbox channels that have always been a "bottleneck" for response speed.
