Detailed experience for anyone who really wants to go to the Blue Lagoon hot spring 💙
The Blue Lagoon hot spring is one of the stops that made me feel the Iceland trip complete, even can say this is one of the most worthwhile experiences in the entire journey.
I arrived at Blue Lagoon at 10:45 AM, this time is still not too crowded, spacious space and very ideal for taking photos; the later towards noon, the more customers increase. You can choose 3 types of tickets as follows:
1️⃣ Comfort (Choose 1 drink + 1 mask)
2️⃣ Premium (Choose 3 masks + 2 drinks, with bathrobe)
3️⃣ Signature (Add two masks to take home compared to Premium)
I chose the Premium package, this is a quite okay choice if you want to try more types of masks. The bathrobe is actually not very necessary, just need to walk a short distance from the changing room to the hot spring 😂 🍸Drink suggestion: you should try the blue cocktail okay.
The cold of Iceland is nothing compared to the warm water about 37–39°C, rest assured; the water has a characteristic milky green color, when raising your hand above the water surface, you can see a thin layer of minerals sticking to the skin, smooth like powder. While soaking, please apply the silica mud mask (included in the ticket), but sensitive skin should consider.
A few small notes but should remember to have something to use when going:
☑️ Please bring slippers, because the spring area does not provide and the ground is quite rough
☑️ Waterproof phone pouch is an indispensable item
☑️ The free luggage storage area is right at the bus stop point so very convenient
Especially don't soak too long, 1-2 hours is enough because the temperature difference easily makes you sick.
