After captivating audiences on hundreds of stages worldwide, the legendary ballet "The Peacock"—the 2022 masterpiece by renowned dancer Yang Liping—will make its Vietnam debut on March 6, 7, and 8, 2026, at Ho Guom Theater in Hanoi.
The Magic of Yang Liping's Vision
In the 2022 version of The Peacock, Yang Liping serves as lead choreographer, artistic director, and a special performer in the Winter scene. She thoughtfully invited acclaimed visual artist Ye Jinxi—winner of the "Best Art Direction" Oscar—for set design, along with a powerhouse creative team. The entire production distills Yang Liping's dance artistry, offering a profound exploration by the "goddess of dance" into the meaning of life.
Yang Liping herself will grace the "Winter" chapter, transforming into the Peacock dancing amid a blizzard—a symbol of Nirvana's rebirth in life and art.
