Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur: A Spacious 2-Bedroom Haven with KLCC Views
This was my sixth stay at Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur since it opened in August. This time, I chose a 2-bedroom apartment with a design that differs slightly from my first visit. The unit is more spacious and includes a balcony and bathtub in the master bathroom, with views overlooking KLCC. The room rate for this apartment type hovers around RM1,000 on Trip.com.
Spacious Layout and Kitchen Facilities
With 947 square feet of space, this apartment is genuinely spacious. Upon entering, there's a kitchen area to the right of the entrance. What's impressive is the complete cooking equipment provided. The apartment includes an electric cooktop and microwave oven for guests who want to cook. Rice cookers and toasters are also available. A large two-door refrigerator is provided, along with a washing machine tucked inside a dedicated enclosed space. A four-seater dining table sits in the center of the kitchen area.
Living Spaces and Comfort
Beyond the kitchen lies a spacious living room with a long sofa and two single sofas arranged around a coffee table. A 60-inch TV sits on the TV stand. Sliding glass doors open directly onto the balcony, which overlooks KLCC—though the Petronas Twin Towers are only partially visible due to surrounding buildings.
Bedroom Arrangements
A hallway leads to the bedrooms. The second bedroom, on the right side of the hallway, features a king bed with a small wardrobe and a compact work desk with a chair in the corner. A 60-inch TV is mounted on the opposite wall. The second bathroom is located across the hallway—a compact space with a sink, toilet, and shower enclosed by completely transparent mirrors, with a single shower head.
The master bedroom at the end of the hallway is noticeably larger. It contains a king bed, a single chair, and a small round table beside the bed. A large wardrobe on the right side houses an iron, ironing board, and safe. A small work desk with a chair sits in the corner. Another 60-inch TV is mounted on the wall opposite the bed.
Master Bathroom Features
The master bathroom includes a sink, toilet, shower, and bathtub. The apartment doesn't have a bidet attachment next to the toilet—only a small spray nozzle from the bowl itself. The shower area is fully enclosed with transparent mirrors and features two shower heads, unlike the second bathroom. The bathtub is relatively large. The apartment provides comprehensive bathing amenities, including hand towels, face towels, and toothbrushes. Since the property is newly operational, the provided towels are exceptionally soft and comfortable.
Facilities and Amenities
The hotel's swimming pool is located on Level 7 and is indoor. Both the main pool and children's pool are large and impressive. The pool operates from 7 AM to 11 PM. A 24-hour fitness center is also available on the same level. A small Kids Club is present, along with a sauna. On Level 7M, directly above the pool, sits a restaurant where breakfast is served. The breakfast buffet, while not extensively varied, is adequate. Don't miss trying their delicious singgang dish.
Connectivity and Services
The complimentary WiFi in the rooms is reasonably fast, reaching 61 Mbps. Tune Talk mobile service reaches 195 Mbps, while CelcomDigi achieves 155 Mbps. The hotel offers extensive TV channels, mostly in HD format. I was very satisfied with the water pressure in the bathrooms. In-room dining is available at reasonable prices—for example, fried rice costs RM45 and fresh fruit juice is RM18. The hotel provides ample free parking for guests with vehicles.
Location and Overall Value
I genuinely enjoy staying here, not only for its location but also for the exceptionally comfortable rooms. The apartments are incredibly spacious, and everything remains brand new. Guests can choose room types suitable for their family size, ranging from studios to 3-bedroom apartments. Location-wise, the hotel is strategically positioned between KLCC and Pavilion Bukit Bintang, roughly 900 meters from each destination. Guests can walk to KLCC through the beautiful KLCC Promenade. This property is ideal for families with children who want to relax, given the spacious rooms and large children's pool. The main drawbacks are the toilet's lack of bidet attachment—only a small spray nozzle from within the bowl—and the relatively high room rates.
Overall, Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur stands out as an excellent choice for extended stays, families, or anyone seeking comfortable, spacious accommodation in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
