IBTE 2025: Top Toy Trends, Smart Lepao & What to Expect

IBTE 2025: Quick Visitor Notes from SECC, Ho Chi Minh City

The IBTE 2025 fair (International Baby & Children's Products & Toys Expo) ran 18–20 December at SECC Q7 and felt busy on opening day with fewer "Baby Three" trend items than last year.

What I saw

Booths were mostly decorative items and stuffed animals, with only a few cognitive/educational toys on display. I didn't notice many Vietnamese brands—either they were few or I missed them while walking through the crowds.

Crowd, giveaways, and shopping tips

  • Crowds: The show was already very crowded on day one, and the venue can feel chilly—plan layers.
  • Giveaways: Most booth freebies were tote bags.
  • Selling days: Some exhibitors started selling immediately, but many only sold on the last day (Saturday); if you go on the final day, arrive early because popular items often sell out by midday.

Access & attendees

The exhibition limits infant entry, though older children were seen being brought by families. Both IBTE and the IGHE (International Gifts & Housewares Expo) were open and connected, free to enter but requiring prior registration via a form.

Notable product mention

A friend bought a high-quality assembly kit from Smart Lepao—apparently not yet sold in Vietnam and currently seeking local partners; the brand already operates in the Philippines and Malaysia and is used in some schools there.

Event logistics

IBTE 2025 opening hours were 9:00–17:00 from 18–20 December at SECC, Q7 (799 Nguyen Van Linh).
