Exoresidence Bangkok: Your Chinatown Oasis & Foodie Haven

Exoresidence Chinatown: My 6N5D Bangkok Stay & Food Guide

Hey everyone, I'm diving into my first review after an amazing 6-night, 5-day trip! Starting with Exoresidence in the heart of Chinatown – super easy to find and a total gem.

Easy Access from MRT Wat Mangkon

Exit MRT Wat Mangkon at gate 3, turn right, and confidently roll your suitcase 120m. Spot the Starbucks sign? Right next to it is the green Exoresidence sign. Head inside, go 20m to the elevator, and ride up to the 3rd floor for check-in. Piece of cake!

Room & Stay Highlights (Booked for 2 Nights at ~$100 in November)

  • Spacious room – fit 3 suitcases with room to spare!
  • Clean bathroom, no weird smells.
  • Slept like a baby, no bugs in sight.
  • Some tuk-tuk noise at night, but I'm used to highway sounds at home – didn't bother me one bit.
  • Disposable slippers provided – super handy.
  • Staff always around! Got back at 11pm and two friendly folks were at reception. Others said it's hard to find them, but I saw them 24/7.

Chinatown Food Heaven: 3 Full Days & Still Not Done!

So much amazing local eats from morning till night – you'll be stuffed! Followed tips from group reviews, and every spot delivered.

  • Plum Lemon Juice (that plum drink!)
  • Ba Hao Tian Mi puddings (banana and longan flavors)
  • Je Oy Fish Maw Soup (shark fin style, branch 1 – closes at 7pm. Went late one day and it was sold out, another day off... so sad! 😭)
  • Charm Noodle (Yaowarat stir-fried noodles, like boat noodles – opens 11am)
  • Krua Phon Lamai crispy batter with hot seafood sauce (5pm-2am)

More Chinatown Favorites:

  • Pa Tong Go Savoey fried dough

  • Sweetime – Thai dessert paradise
  • T&K Seafood (green-uniformed staff – been going since 2019, always packed!)
  • Hey Gato ice cream
  • Cheap pomegranate juice, mandarin drinks, fresh fruits
  • Foot massage at Hattaleela Massage

Prime Location Perks

  • 180m walk to bustling Yaowarat Road and I'm Chinatown mall.
  • Close to Sampheng Market, Song Wat via Talat Noi for pics – hop on a river boat to Wang Lang Market, then Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, River City, Iconsiam.
  • Near Hua Lamphong train station too.
  • Grab a motorbike for 10 mins to hot Banthat Thong strip – eat up, then walk back to MRT Hua Lamphong and hop to Wat Mangkon for the hotel.

Chinatown stole my heart – can't wait to go back!
