New Intercity Bus Routes Connect HCMC to Binh Duong & Vung Tau
The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center has announced the launch of two new intercity bus routes starting November 1st. Operated by Phuong Trang – Futabuslines, these routes aim to significantly improve connectivity between HCMC and the neighboring provinces of Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
Route 171: HCMC to Binh Duong (Phu Chanh Bus Station)
Route 171 establishes a direct link between Ben Thanh Bus Station in HCMC and Phu Chanh Bus Station in Binh Duong.
- Route Details: Phu Chanh (Binh Duong) – Ben Thanh (HCMC)
- Length: 46 km
- Operating Hours: 5:30 AM – 7:25 PM, approximately 100 minutes per trip.
- Key Stops Include: Binh Duong Administrative Center, Binh Duong General Hospital, and Lotte Mart The Seasons supermarket.
Fare Structure for Route 171
The fares for Route 171 are structured based on distance:
- Under 15 km: VND 15,000
- 15–30 km: VND 30,000
- Over 30 km (Full route): VND 70,000
Route 172: HCMC to Vung Tau (Ba Ria – Vung Tau)
Connecting HCMC's Ben Thanh Station with Vung Tau Bus Station, this route offers a longer journey through the region.
- Route Details: Vung Tau Bus Station – Ben Thanh (HCMC)
- Length: 97 km, with 38 trips scheduled daily.
- Operating Hours: 4:30 AM – 7:45 PM, with an estimated travel time of 130 minutes per trip.
- Key Stops Include: Coopmart Vung Tau, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Administrative Center, and Coopmart Tan Thanh.
Fare Structure for Route 172
The fares for the longer Route 172 are categorized as follows:
- Under 30 km: VND 30,000
- 30–50 km: VND 50,000
- 50–80 km: VND 80,000
- Full Route: VND 110,000
