Romantic Taiwan Getaway: Must-See Spots for Couples Traveling Together

Taiwan Travel Guide: Unforgettable Spots for Couples

Planning a Romantic Getaway to Taiwan? Don't Miss These Gems!

After two wonderful years together, my partner and I recently embarked on a delightful journey to Taiwan. We chose this destination for its accessibility, incredible food, breathtaking scenery, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere – perfect for a leisurely escape. I'm excited to share some of our favorite spots, hoping they inspire your own romantic adventures in Taiwan!

Our travel began with China Airlines, offering a convenient direct flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Taipei. The flight was smooth, the in-flight meals were pleasant, and they even served a surprisingly delicious ice cream for dessert.

Must-Visit Destinations for Lovebirds

Jiufen Old Street: A Journey into a Fairytale

We dedicated a full half-day to exploring Jiufen Old Street, and it was absolutely worth every moment. The air was refreshingly cool, and the winding cobblestone streets, lined with charming tea houses, artisanal shops, and countless lanterns, transported us straight into an anime movie. Sipping a warm cup of tea in the vintage ambiance, with a stunning view overlooking the sea, made for an incredibly romantic experience, especially for couples.

Taipei 101: Iconic Views and City Charm

As Taiwan's iconic landmark, Taipei 101 was a non-negotiable stop. While we opted not to ascend to the observation deck due to the ticket price (around $18 USD), simply standing at the base and capturing some photos was a fantastic experience. The surrounding area boasts a high-end shopping mall and an array of tempting food stalls. Strolling around in the evening was a truly enjoyable and romantic way to soak in the city's vibrant energy.

Shilin & Raohe Night Markets: A Food Lover's Paradise

In just four words: FOOD HEAVEN GUARANTEED. We found ourselves drawn to the night markets almost every evening, indulging in a culinary feast. From stinky tofu and beef noodles to fried chicken, sweet potato pancakes, and honey-glazed sweet potatoes, every dish was an adventure worth taking! Raohe Market, though smaller, offered equally high-quality street food. If you love exploring local flavors, be sure to save plenty of appetite!

Yangmingshan National Park: Nature's Serene Embrace

For nature lovers, Yangmingshan National Park offers an incredibly serene and relaxing vibe. We took a bus up, and while the road was winding, it was quite manageable. The park is adorned with seasonal flowers, vast grasslands, hot springs, and ethereal clouds drifting by, reminiscent of Taiwan's own "Da Lat." The fresh air and gentle walking trails provided a deeply soothing experience. It's also an ideal setting for capturing beautiful photos with your loved one.
