My Japanese Multi-Entry Visa Journey: Persistence Pays Off After Three Attempts
My Japanese Multi-Entry Visa Journey: From Rejection to a 3-Year Pass
Embarking on the path to securing a Japanese multi-entry visa can feel like a complex adventure, and my own experience was certainly a learning curve! After a few attempts, I'm thrilled to share that I've finally achieved my goal of a 3-year multi-entry visa.
My Visa Application Experience
- First Attempt: Successfully obtained a single-entry visa.
- Second Attempt: Applied for a multi-entry visa but was unfortunately rejected and issued a single-entry visa instead.
- Third Attempt: Successfully passed and received a 3-year multi-entry visa! 🥰
My Multi-Entry Visa Application Dossier
Here's a breakdown of the documents I submitted for my successful multi-entry visa application:
- Employment Confirmation: While the agency advised that a labor contract wasn't mandatory, I included my indefinite-term labor contract alongside my confirmation of employment and salary details.
- Social Insurance History: A screenshot of my social insurance participation history from the VSSID app.
- Financial Documents: A 6-month salary statement along with a bank savings account showing 130 million VND.
- Travel History: Two trips to Japan and two trips to China within 2024 and 2025.
- Letter of Explanation: I explained that my previous visits to Japan were confined to the Tokyo region. For this upcoming trip, I expressed a desire to explore the Kansai area. However, due to work commitments, extended leave isn't feasible. Therefore, I requested a multi-entry visa to allow for more frequent visits during my holidays in Vietnam, enabling me to book travel in advance for cost savings. I also conveyed my deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and culture, specifically highlighting how I felt like a valued guest when experiencing services in Japan, and provided a concrete example of this.
- Itinerary & Bookings: My planned travel itinerary and bookings for a trip from August 28th to September 2nd.
Thankfully, this time around, my multi-entry visa was approved! 🥰
