DIY China Tourist Visa in Ho Chi Minh City: A Successful Group Application Story

A Smooth Sailing Visa Journey: Our Group's Shenanigans in Ho Chi Minh City for China Travel

Embarking on our very first international adventure to China, our trio a gentleman and two ladies from Ho Chi Minh City, was met with a wave of excitement and a dash of apprehension. We navigated the visa application process together, a shared online account for our applications, and thankfully, our approvals came in tandem. We submitted our documents on July 28th, and as of this afternoon, August 4th, we were thrilled to pick up our visas!

Navigating Address Quirks

While I hold a household registration in Ho Chi Minh City, my two companions, though colleagues, hail from Dong Nai province. In our initial rush, we all obtained our bank balance confirmations from banks located near our workplace in Ho Chi Minh City, overlooking the residential address discrepancies. When we submitted our physical paperwork, the processing officer reassured us, mentioning that the bank's seal address differing from our household registration or temporary residence was not a major hurdle.

Effortless Collection

Collecting our precious visas was just as straightforward. One person, armed with the original citizen identification cards for all three of us, was able to collect the visas on behalf of the group. The visa fee was a collective $150, and we received our change promptly.

It's worth noting that prior to this experience, we had consulted some visa service providers who strongly advised against proceeding due to the address mismatch, predicting a definite refusal. This feedback had certainly sent a shiver down our spines, but thankfully, our real-life experience proved otherwise.
