A Family-Friendly Stay in Singapore: V Hotel Lavender
I wanted to share my experience for those of you traveling to Singapore with family, especially those with young children like myself. V Hotel Lavender turned out to be a fantastic option for a small family exploring the city on their own.
My spouse and I have visited Singapore numerous times and stayed in various hotels. This time, we were joined by my brother and sister-in-law and their two children (ages 6 and 10), and we booked our travel arrangements through KetnoiSingapore.
Comfortable and Affordable Rooms
We reserved two double rooms (one double bed each), and to our surprise, KetnoiSingapore had a special arrangement with the hotel where they did NOT charge extra for our two children. The double room price was only $3,080 per night, which is reasonable for the quality offered. The two children (ages 6 and 10) shared a bed with their parents. It was a bit tight, but still comfortable enough, especially if the kids are small and good sleepers. I considered booking a triple room, but the price was nearly double, so this arrangement was a great way to save money.
Prime Location and Convenient Amenities
The location of V Hotel Lavender is absolutely perfect! The hotel is directly on top of an MRT station and surrounded by fantastic food options.
- MRT Lavender: The Lavender MRT station is right below the hotel, making it incredibly easy to get around to all the attractions.
- Food Paradise: The surrounding area is a food lover's dream. The 24/7 Kopitiam on the ground floor has everything from rice, porridge, and noodles to stir-fries, fried food, fruit, and juices – perfect for all ages, especially grandparents and children who might have specific dietary needs. There's also a McDonald's, Old Chang Kee, Toast Box, and 7-Eleven nearby.
The Perfect Choice for Small Families
In short, this hotel is ideal for small families of 3-4 people who want to save money without sacrificing convenience. No extra charge for two young children, excellent location, and easy access to transportation and food. I highly recommend it!
