Discovering Impressionist Charm: Claude Monet's Argenteuil Home
A Stone's Throw from Paris: Visiting Monet's House
Step into the world of Claude Monet with a visit to the house where he lived for seven transformative years. Getting there is surprisingly easy! Just a quick ride on the J train from Saint-Lazare station – only one stop – and you've arrived in Argenteuil.
Monet's house is conveniently located within sight of the train station, making it a breeze to find.
Culinary Gem: Le Bistro Picolo
During my visit, I stumbled upon a fantastic restaurant that I have to share: Le Bistro Picolo!
This delightful bistro is helmed by two Japanese chefs and had just opened its doors three months prior. The experience was exceptional from start to finish. We were greeted with complimentary glasses of wine, and while waiting for our bill amidst the bustling atmosphere, we were even treated to a complimentary limoncello.
The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially compared to Paris. The "menu" offered two courses for just 19€ or three courses for 23€.
I wholeheartedly recommend Le Bistro Picolo for an authentic and affordable dining experience!
