A Sweet Afternoon with Louis Vuitton in Paris
Bonjour, fellow Paris lovers! ✨
On Monday, June 23rd at 1:30 PM, I finally indulged in the iconic Vuitton cake. The location? A dream spot on the Right Bank, along the Seine, directly across from La Samaritaine. To help visualize, it's west of the Louvre Museum, followed by La Samaritaine, then Vuitton.
A Luxurious Experience
They open at 11 AM, and reservations are only accepted for lunch (which includes cake!). We were only after cake, so no reservation was possible. We prepared ourselves for a wait, but yesterday was surprisingly quiet! We were immediately shown to a fantastic window seat overlooking the Seine – pure luck!
As you'd expect from Louis Vuitton, the staff were incredibly professional, efficient, and, let's be honest, gorgeous! The cakes and Champagne are definitely a splurge, but in my opinion, the taste and ambiance are worth every penny. I was absolutely thrilled with the whole experience.
Apparently, there's usually a massive queue, so if you're short on time, booking lunch is the way to go (you can still enjoy cake!). We had allocated at least an hour for waiting, but we were able to get in right away. Perhaps it was because it was a weekday? (While you wait, you can always browse the shops nearby – it's a great way to pass the time!)
We were told that "café visits are limited to 40 minutes," but no one rushed us out even after our time was up. And the restrooms? Spotless, of course, and complimentary.
Post-Vuitton Coffee
After leaving Vuitton, we headed to the opulent Starbucks east of the Opera Garnier, where we spent three hours chatting over a €2.70 coffee and making use of their facilities. Just a heads-up: the Starbucks restrooms were out of paper towels, so bring tissues just in case! 😊
An Apology
I wanted to apologize for my previous posts, "Paris Walks" and "Mont Saint-Michel," which I linked in a previous post. It appears that it was a violation of the rules, and they were removed. 😔 I'm so sorry to everyone who commented – I wasn't able to reply or express my gratitude. Thank you for understanding.
I apologize for any inconvenience I caused the group. I'll be more careful with my future posts. 🙏
