Top High Airport Link Hotel: A Review from a Recent Stay in Bangkok

This hotel is nestled right in the heart of Bangkok, a stone's throw from the bustling Pratunam market. For the price, it offers a decent stay with several conveniences.

Location, Location, Location!

  • Accessibility: The hotel is tucked away in a small alley, but taxis, Grab cars, and even larger vehicles can reach the entrance. Just be aware that during peak hours, hailing a ride might require a short walk to the main road.
  • Shopping Paradise: Its proximity to Pratunam Market, Big C Supercenter, Platinum Fashion Mall, and CentralWorld is a major plus. A quick tuk-tuk ride (expect to haggle around 100 baht) will whisk you away to these retail havens.
  • Free Tuk-Tuk Service: The hotel offers a complimentary tuk-tuk service between 8 am and 5 pm, a fantastic perk!
  • BTS Convenience: The Phaya Thai BTS station is about a 4-5 minute walk (around 500m). From there, you can easily access many of Bangkok's famous landmarks via the BTS Skytrain. A definite bonus!
  • On-Site Amenities: There's a laundry service and Thai massage available at the hotel itself.
  • Airport Link Access: The Sky ARL train, which goes directly to Suvarnabhumi Airport, is easily accessible from this location. Another big plus!
  • Convenience Store Nearby: A 7-Eleven is just a 150m walk away – super convenient for any late-night needs.

Rooms and Amenities

  • Room Assignment: I was fortunate enough to be placed in the newer section of the hotel (at the front).
  • Size and Cleanliness: The rooms are on the smaller side, but they were relatively clean.
  • Missing Essentials: No slippers or toothbrushes are provided.
  • No Hair Dryer: A hair dryer wasn't available in the room.
  • Hot Water Access: There's no kettle in the room, but hot and cold water dispensers are readily available in the hallway.
  • Noise Levels: I had read reviews complaining about noise from the nearby railway, but I didn't find it to be an issue during my stay.

On the ground floor, near the reception desk, there's a luggage scale. Very handy for weighing your bags before heading home!

For my early morning departure, a Grab ride to Suvarnabhumi Airport cost me 600 baht.
