Singapore, June 13, 2025 – The Singapore Tourism Board is excited to announce that the iconic Merlion statue at Merlion Park will be getting a thorough cleaning on July 22, 2025!
This essential maintenance will ensure our beloved Merlion continues to delight visitors for years to come. However, while the cleaning is underway, the main Merlion will be temporarily covered with scaffolding.
What does this mean for your visit? Fear not! While the main Merlion gets its spa day, you can still capture amazing memories with the adorable Merlion cub statue, which will be readily available for photos.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, as the cleaning process and necessary barricades may cause some minor inconvenience. Thank you for helping us keep the Merlion shining bright!
