My Must-Order Dishes at This Saigon Gem
Whenever I visit this restaurant, there are four classic dishes I absolutely have to order. They consistently impress and are worth every penny!
The Culinary Delights
-
Beer Tartare (490k)
This is hands down the most generous portion of beef tartare I've ever had in Saigon. A substantial 150g served with crispy fries and a delectable sauce. The real magic lies in the perfect balance of ingredients, ensuring it doesn't feel raw while still showcasing the meat's natural flavor. A true tartare masterpiece, both in presentation and taste!
-
"Cơm" Scallops (590k)
A French bistro dish that surprisingly resembles Italian risotto. The rice is easy to eat and has a subtle buttery aroma. Paired with perfectly seared scallops, it's a match made in culinary heaven.
-
French Escargots (295k)
A classic appetizer that's almost obligatory.
-
"Jumbo" Shrimp Rice (550k)
Another star creation! Large, succulent tiger prawns are grilled to perfection and served with flavorful pilaf rice and an incredible sauce. You'll definitely want to savor every last grain.
Elevated French Bistro Experience
This place elevates French bistro cuisine to a new level. It's no longer your typical 200k-300k meal; expect to spend around 500k per person. Having dined at several 1-star Michelin restaurants in Southeast Asia, I consider this one of the closest Saigon French restaurants to that standard, or at least worthy of a Bib Gourmand nod (Michelin's recognition for affordable quality). Overall, it's exceptionally satisfying for the price!
Rating (Out of 10)
Here's my rating for the dining experience:
