Parisian Dreams: A Journey Through History and Art
Notre Dame: A Symbol Reborn
My first visit to Paris in 2019 coincided with a somber moment – just two weeks after the devastating fire at Notre Dame Cathedral. The event resonated deeply, not only with the French people and Parisians, but with individuals worldwide.
Finally, on my third trip in April 2023, I had the profound experience of stepping inside the cathedral and beholding its magnificent rose windows. A truly moving experience!
The lines for Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie were unfortunately too long, so I had to postpone those visits for another time.
Exploring Parisian Landmarks
This third Parisian adventure allowed me to delve into more of the city's treasures. I explored the Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre's inner courtyard, the Palais Royal, the opulent Place Vendôme, and the Madeleine Church.
The Palais Garnier, Hôtel de Ville (Paris City Hall), Centre Pompidou, Porte Saint-Denis, and the heights of Montmartre (Sacré-Cœur Basilica) all captivated me.
A visit to the Arc de Triomphe, including its rooftop views, the Grand Palais and Petit Palais, Place de la Concorde, and the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district (including Église Saint-Sulpice) were also highlights of this Parisian exploration.
I always make time for the charming markets and covered passages – a true Parisian delight!
